NSA Haiku Generator

↵ back

The NSA Haiku Generator utilizes a list of words the NSA and DHS use to monitor our online communications and movements, as well as a list of words maintained by hackers and security experts. The former was gleaned from a Freedom of Information Act request in 2011 and have been reported on by Forbes and The Huffington Post but you can read more about that here.

I created a database to house the words and phrases, then assigned each entry a syllable count. A 5-7-5 poem is created at random from the database of words, sometimes resulting in some striking reads. You can try it for yourself at www.nsahaiku.net.
